Overview

Yedno helps people decide what is worth doing now based on available time, energy, execution context, recurring obligations, and task relationships. It retrieves planning data and changes private Yedno data only when the user asks.

Tools

archive_task

ChatGPT
Move one task to the private archived view. Use only when the user explicitly wants it out of active task views, and obtain the current version with get_task first.

complete_task

ChatGPT
Mark one open task as completed. Use get_task first to obtain its current version; this changes the task status and can later be reversed with reopen_task.

correct_work_session

ChatGPT
Correct the effective UTC start and end times of a completed session when the recorded timing is wrong. This preserves the original timestamps and requires a reason and current version.

create_obligation

ChatGPT
Create one recurring obligation with a local-time recurrence, activation, and notification offsets. Use preview_obligation_recurrence first when checking the schedule is important.

create_task

ChatGPT
Create a task in this account. Use only when the user has asked to add it; title is required and all classification and scheduling fields are optional.

create_trait

ChatGPT
Create one reusable trait for this account when no existing trait describes the task. This changes task classifications but can be left unused later.

end_work_session

ChatGPT
End a running or paused work session and record its duration. Use get_current_work_session first to obtain its current version.

get_current_work_session

ChatGPT
Retrieve the account's active or paused work session, or null when there is none. Does not change data.

get_execution_profiles

ChatGPT
List execution profiles before requesting a recommendation. Does not change data.

get_now_recommendations

ChatGPT
Recommend what to work on now for the supplied time, profile, and energy. It only calculates a result; it does not create or change tasks.

get_task

ChatGPT
Retrieve one task, including its current version required before changing it. Do not use to search by title. Does not change data.

get_task_graph

ChatGPT
Retrieve one task and its directly connected task-relation graph. Use get_task when only the selected task is needed; this does not change data.

list_task_classifications

ChatGPT
Use before creating or classifying a task to look up this account's areas, requirements, and traits. Does not change data.

list_tasks

ChatGPT
List this account's tasks. Use status to choose open, completed, or archived tasks; omit it for the default open view. Does not change data.

pause_work_session

ChatGPT
Pause a running work session. Use get_current_work_session first to obtain its current version; this changes the private session state.

preview_obligation_recurrence

ChatGPT
Preview future local-time occurrences before creating an obligation. It does not save anything; provide recurrence and timeZoneId, and use count only to limit the preview.

reopen_task

ChatGPT
Change one completed task back to open. Use get_task first to obtain its current version; do not use for an already open or archived task.

start_work_session

ChatGPT
Start or resume work on one task. Do not use when a different task already has an active session; then report that session instead.

update_remaining_effort

ChatGPT
Set or clear a task's remaining-effort override in minutes. Use null to clear the override and get_task first to obtain the current version.

update_task

ChatGPT
Change an existing task after retrieving its current version with get_task. Only use for an explicit user-requested edit; this replaces the supplied fields.
