Overview

Youmake is a development workspace for creating and editing websites, mobile apps, and slide decks from natural-language instructions. It helps founders, designers, and developers turn project briefs into working software and presentations. Connect your Youmake account to open projects you are authorized to access. Describe a new project or request changes through ChatGPT’s message box. Follow the coding agent in Chat logs, inspect the embedded preview, and stop an active build when needed. Publish websites and slide projects to a Youmake subdomain or a domain you own after confirming the destination. Custom domains require DNS configuration. Mobile device testing and app-store publishing continue in the Youmake editor.

Tools

check_deployment_alias

ChatGPT
Check an address without reserving or publishing it.

create_project

ChatGPT
Create a private project shell. Requires an active Youmake license and at least 1 credit. Choose web for websites, mobile for Expo apps, or slides for presentations. Then call start_build with the user’s prompt. Reuse requestId when retrying the same request.

deploy_project

ChatGPT
Publish the project only after the user reviews the destination and clicks Deploy in the modal. Requires editor access and an active license. Reuse requestId for retries of the same publication.

get_account

ChatGPT
Read the signed-in account’s profile, plan and credit usage for the profile menu.

get_build_status

ChatGPT
Check build progress and preview links. Pass the job ID returned by start_build. Poll no more than once every five seconds. Failed or interrupted builds need attention in Youmake; do not claim they completed.

get_deployment_options

ChatGPT
Read the current project address and deployment status. Does not publish.

get_deployment_status

ChatGPT
Read deployment status. Poll no more than every five seconds.

get_preview_status

ChatGPT
Read preview startup status and the refreshed preview URL. Poll no more than once every five seconds.

get_project

ChatGPT
Get a project and its preview/editor links. Use before changing an existing project.

get_project_activity

ChatGPT
Read bounded project history and new activity for the workspace.

list_projects

ChatGPT
Fetch project data for reasoning, pagination, or refresh without rendering a widget. To show the user their project library, use show_workspace with view=projects instead.

prepare_preview

ChatGPT
Wake this project’s existing sandbox and ensure its preview server is running. Does not start a coding task. Requires editor access. Returns immediately; use get_preview_status while starting.

show_workspace

ChatGPT
Display one interactive workspace. Use view=projects to show the project list directly; the authorized list is fetched automatically. Use view=project with a projectId to reopen a project. start_build already renders its workspace; it does not need another show_workspace call. Use view=home only to show the new-project composer. Call once after data operations, not for each status poll. Widget refresh and pagination use data tools without opening more widgets.

start_build

ChatGPT
Create or modify project content for a user-requested build or edit. Uses the project owner’s Youmake credits and may overwrite existing files. Pass uploaded or generated attachments in files, not as base64 or file bytes in prompt. Supports up to 5 files, 10 MB each, 25 MB total. Returns delivery status and opens the workspace, where progress updates automatically. Acceptance does not indicate completion. Reuse requestId when retrying the same request.

stop_build

ChatGPT
Cancel the running agent or build preparation for this project only when the user requests cancellation. Interrupts unfinished work and may leave partially applied file changes; it does not undo completed changes or refund credits already consumed. Requires editor access, but no credits or active subscription. Check the returned status to confirm the agent stopped.

verify_project_domain

ChatGPT
Verify the project’s saved domain after configuring DNS. Requires the project owner.
