Overview

Take a Big Five personality test right in the chat and get exact, explainable scores. Zovo Big Five Test uses the public-domain IPIP 50-item Big-Five Factor Markers (Goldberg, 1992), a research questionnaire used in many published studies. The widget shows one statement at a time with a progress bar and a back button, and your answers stay in the widget until you submit. Scoring follows the published key: each trait has ten items, reverse-keyed items are scored as 6 minus your answer, and every trait gets a raw score from 10 to 50. Your results cover the five broad traits: Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Emotional Stability and Intellect/Imagination (often called Openness). Each trait shows the raw score, an approximate percentile, a low/average/high band and a short plain-language description. Percentiles compare you with more than 600,000 online volunteers who answered the same 50 items (Open-Source Psychometrics Project data set); they are a reference point, not a population norm, and the result says so. Share it: download an SVG share card with your five bars, or open a share page. Anyone with the link can take the same test in their browser, see their own scores and compare with yours side by side. Links contain only the five scores and an optional first name, never your answers. You can also compare two people's scores in the chat, for friends, partners, siblings or students in a class. Comparisons show differences per trait only and make no compatibility claims. Already answered the 50 items on paper? Give the 50 answers (1-5, in item order) and the tool scores them, naming any missing item numbers. Limitations: a self-report description for curiosity and self-reflection, ages 13+. It is not a diagnosis, not a mental-health assessment and not a hiring or selection tool. It measures the five broad domains, not facets, in English. It reports trait scores, not four-letter personality types.

Tools

calculate_personality_scores

ChatGPT
Use this when the user has answered all 50 items of the IPIP Big-Five Factor Markers test (answers 1-5 in item order) and wants their personality test scores. Returns raw scores (10-50) for Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Emotional Stability and Intellect/Imagination, an approximate percentile, a low/average/high band with a plain-language description, a share card (SVG) and a share page link. Reverse-keyed items are scored automatically. Does not diagnose anything and is not for hiring decisions. Do not use for other questionnaires (MBTI, DISC, Enneagram) or with invented answers.

compare_personality_scores

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants to compare two people's Big Five personality test results, e.g. friends, partners or siblings who both took the 50-item test. Takes each person's five raw scores (10-50) and returns per-trait differences (similar when 3 points or fewer apart), each person's percentile, a comparison card (SVG) and a comparison page. Describes differences only; it does not rate compatibility, predict relationships, or judge who is better. Do not use for hiring or team selection.

show_personality_test

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants to take a personality test, a Big Five (five-factor, OCEAN) test, or a personality test for self-reflection, students, teens or couples. Shows the 50 public-domain IPIP Big-Five Factor Marker items in an interactive widget (one at a time, progress bar, back button); answers stay in the widget until the user submits, then they are scored with calculate_personality_scores. Also returns the item list and a browser link to take the same test. Does not score anything by itself. Do not use for MBTI/16-type, DISC or Enneagram tests, or to screen job candidates.
