Overview
AI Chat for Website puts an AI assistant on your website that answers visitors from your own pages and hands the chat to a person when it should. This connector brings that account into Claude. Ask Claude about your sites in plain language: - Which conversations are waiting for a person, and what each visitor asked - Full transcripts of any chat - New leads and the contact details visitors left, and update a lead's status - Who is on your site right now, where they came from and which pages they read - Questions the assistant could not answer (gaps), so you can fill them - Traffic and chat numbers per site, top pages, and your plan usage With write access, Claude can also act for you: - Reply to a visitor in a live conversation, or close it - Add question-and-answer pairs and answer gaps, so the assistant knows next time - Re-read your website after you change it - Test what your site's assistant would answer to a question You sign in with your AI Chat for Website account and choose read-only or read and write access when you connect. Claude only sees the sites in your account, with the same owner and agent permissions as in the portal. Visitor IP addresses are never sent to Claude. You can disconnect at any time from Connected apps in the portal.
