Alt
by Clap
Overview
Alt records lectures and meetings, transcribes them on-device, and generates structured summaries. This connector gives Claude read-only access to the notes in your Alt account, so you can work with what you actually recorded instead of retyping it. Once connected, Claude can list your notes, open any one of them, pull the full transcript, and read the generated summary. Typical uses: ask what a lecture covered before an exam, pull the action items out of last week's meeting, find the moment in a two-hour recording where a decision was made, or compare how a topic was discussed across several sessions. The connector is read-only by design. All four tools — list_notes, get_note, get_note_transcript, and get_note_summary — only read. There is no tool that can create, modify, or delete anything in your Alt account. Audio recordings are never exposed; only text is returned. Notes become visible only after a recording has finished or a summary has been generated, so drafts and memo-only notes stay out of reach. Transcripts and summaries can run long, so both are paginated. Claude follows a cursor until it has what it needs instead of pulling an entire library at once, and each response reports whether more pages remain. Requirements: an Alt account on a paid plan, plus the Alt desktop or mobile app to create recordings. Connecting uses OAuth — you approve access on Alt's own consent screen and can revoke it at any time from Account > Integrations. Alt is available for macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android.
