Overview

ConnectMyShop connects your Etsy shop to ChatGPT. Ask about your listings and inventory, then let ChatGPT propose changes: titles, tags, descriptions, per-variant prices, new drafts, deactivations, and bulk edits across many listings at once. Nothing changes on Etsy until you approve it. Every proposal appears as an approval card in the chat showing exactly what will change (old value struck through, new value highlighted). You choose Approve once, Always approve for that kind of change, or Decline. Price changes keep an exact backup so they can be undone, and listings edited on Etsy after a preview are skipped rather than overwritten. Who it's for: Etsy sellers who want help with listing SEO, pricing and catalogue upkeep. Privacy: buyer names, addresses and contact details are never shared with ChatGPT. You choose what each AI app may do and can disconnect it at any time from your ConnectMyShop dashboard. Limitations: requires an Etsy shop and a ConnectMyShop account (you sign in with Etsy). Publishing listings is off unless you allow it. Large bulk previews are prepared in the background. The term "Etsy" is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

Tools

audit_listings

ChatGPT
Health check of up to 100 listings in one request: missing photos or alt text, unused tag slots, duplicate tags, long titles, short descriptions, missing materials, auto-renew off or expiring soon, out-of-stock variants, US shipping over $6, listings with no views. Returns ranked issues with the tool to fix each. Use when the owner asks to check, review or improve their shop, asks why sales are slow, or isn’t sure what to do first.

decide_change

ChatGPT
Used by the ConnectMyShop approval card when the shop owner clicks Approve or Decline. Not for AI use.

get_action_status

ChatGPT
See whether a proposed change is waiting, applied, declined, expired or failed.

get_category_attributes

ChatGPT
Attributes a category supports (e.g. primary colour, occasion, holiday) with their allowed values and IDs, for propose_listing_attributes (if available). Long value lists are capped at 60; use valueSearch (e.g. "cotton") to find a specific value.

get_change_progress

ChatGPT
Read-only progress refresh for the approval card.

get_earnings_summary

ChatGPT
Totals for a period from the Etsy payment account: money in, money out, net change, start/end balance, and totals per entry type (sales, transaction/listing/processing/shipping-label fees, refunds, deposits). Any period (default the last 30 days), as far back as today’s Etsy request allowance permits: Etsy serves 31 days at a time, so each month costs about one request. If the allowance runs short, the newest part is read and covered_from/covered_to/complete say exactly which dates are included.

get_holiday_preferences

ChatGPT
Public holidays Etsy knows for the shop’s country and whether the shop processes orders on each (closed days move ship-by dates).

get_listing

ChatGPT
Full details of one listing: description, materials, category, category attributes (e.g. primary colour), personalization questions and, for digital listings, the attached download files. Use it to confirm an applied change.

get_listing_images

ChatGPT
Photos of one listing in order: IDs, position, alt text and preview links. Needed before removing, reordering or editing alt text.

get_listing_inventory

ChatGPT
Variations, SKUs, prices and stock for ONE listing. For several listings use get_shop_inventory (one request for up to 100; if available). Large listings are paged: use offset to fetch the rest.

get_listing_stats

ChatGPT
Lifetime views and favourites of up to 300 active listings, with units sold in the last N days when this AI may read orders, and a “views but no sales” list to prioritise. Etsy has no views per period or search volume; say so rather than guessing.

get_listing_translations

ChatGPT
Saved translations of one listing’s title, description and tags per language (de, en, es, fr, it, ja, nl, pl, pt). Languages without a saved translation use Etsy’s automatic translation.

get_listing_videos

ChatGPT
The video on one listing (Etsy allows one), with its state and preview links.

get_order

ChatGPT
One order: items with variations, totals, ship-by date, shipments with carrier and tracking, gift / buyer-message flags (the owner reads the text on Etsy), refunds, and the payment with Etsy’s processing fee and any adjustments. No buyer names, addresses or contact details: never ask for or guess them.

get_payments

ChatGPT
Payments for orders (by order ID) or by payment ID: gross, Etsy card-processing fee, net, and any refunds or other adjustments with reason and amounts. No buyer details.

get_processing_profiles

ChatGPT
The shop’s processing profiles (Etsy readiness states: ready to ship or made to order, with processing days). readiness_state_id is what drafts and variants use.

get_return_policies

ChatGPT
The shop’s return policies (returns, exchanges, deadline in days) with their IDs, optionally with how many listings use each.

get_shipping_carriers

ChatGPT
Carriers and mail classes Etsy supports from one origin country, for delivery-date estimates on shipping profiles and upgrades.

get_shipping_profiles

ChatGPT
Full detail of the shop’s shipping profiles: origin, processing time, every destination with its cost and each-additional-item cost, delivery estimate, and shipping upgrades (e.g. express), with the IDs propose_shipping_profile_changes (if available) needs. Costs are in the shop currency.

get_shop

ChatGPT
Shop details plus shipping profiles, readiness (processing-time) states, production partners and return policies — the IDs needed when drafting listings.

get_shop_inventory

ChatGPT
Variants, prices, stock and SKUs for up to 100 listings in ONE request — use this instead of calling get_listing_inventory listing by listing (far fewer Etsy requests). Filter with where (e.g. "20 oz") to find every listing and variant with that option; detail: true lists every variant. Page with offset.

get_shop_reviews

ChatGPT
Buyer reviews of the shop or of one listing, newest first, with an average rating and star distribution. Filter by date, rating (e.g. maxRating 3 for critical reviews) or reviews with text. Reviews are public on Etsy; reviewer names are not included.

get_variation_images

ChatGPT
Which listing photo each variation option (e.g. each colour) shows, plus the option IDs propose_variation_images (if available) needs.

list_ledger_entries

ChatGPT
Entries in the shop’s Etsy payment account for a period: sales, each Etsy fee, refunds, deposits to the bank, with running balance. Any period (default the last 30 days), as far back as today’s Etsy request allowance permits: Etsy serves 31 days at a time, so each month costs about one request. If the allowance runs short, the newest part is read and covered_from/covered_to/complete say exactly which dates are included. Newest month first; page with offset.

list_listings

ChatGPT
List the shop’s listings (title, state, price, tags, views, link). Use offset to page through.

list_orders

ChatGPT
Recent orders: items, totals, dates, ship-by date, payment and shipping status, whether it is a gift, has a gift message or buyer note (the text itself stays on Etsy), and refunded amounts. to_ship: true lists what needs shipping now, soonest ship-by first, with late orders flagged. Buyer names, addresses and contact details are never included.

propose_attach_digital_file

ChatGPT
Prepare attaching a download file to one of the owner’s digital listings (Etsy requires one before a digital listing can go on sale). Nothing is attached until the owner approves the preview card. If the owner attached the file in this chat, pass it as file; in apps that can read the owner’s local files, pass the file they point to as local_file (base64). If neither is possible, use get_digital_file_upload_link if it is in your tool list. Max 20 MB per file, 5 files per listing.

propose_bulk_listing_update

ChatGPT
Prepare edits (titles, tags, descriptions, materials, category, shipping profile, return policy, shop section, auto-renew and the other listing settings) to multiple listings in one batch. Large batches prepare and execute in the background. The shop owner gets ONE approval covering all of them — always prefer this over separate propose_listing_update calls when changing more than one listing.

propose_deactivate_listing

ChatGPT
Take one or multiple active listings off sale, without deleting them, in ONE approval. Use listingIds for both single and bulk requests. Requires owner approval unless deactivation auto-approval is enabled. To put listings back on sale later, use propose_reactivate_listing if available (needs publishing permission; Etsy fees may apply).

propose_delete_listing

ChatGPT
Prepare permanently deleting listings from the owner’s own Etsy shop (any state, up to 10 per request) in ONE approval. Nothing is deleted until the owner approves the preview card; after that it cannot be undone: photos, stats and favourites are lost. Only use it when the owner clearly asks to delete; if they may want a listing back, use propose_deactivate_listing instead. Deleting always needs the owner’s approval, even with automatic approval on.

propose_draft_listing

ChatGPT
Prepare a new listing saved as an unpublished draft after the shop owner approves it. Pass variations (e.g. Size and Colour, with optionPrices for sizes that cost more) to create the variants in the same approval. Physical listings need shippingProfileId + readinessStateId; if that shipping profile's type is "calculated", also the packaged weight and dimensions (itemWeight/itemWeightUnit/itemLength/itemWidth/itemHeight/itemDimensionsUnit) — ask the owner. whoMade "someone_else" needs productionPartnerIds. Get all IDs from get_shop first. Digital listings (type "download"): in ChatGPT, if the owner attached the download file in chat, pass it as file so draft and file are approved together; otherwise the result includes an upload link for the file.

propose_holiday_changes

ChatGPT
Prepare marking public holidays as working or closed days for order processing (closed days move ship-by dates), in ONE approval the owner approves on the preview card. Holiday IDs from get_holiday_preferences (if available).

propose_inventory_update

ChatGPT
Prepare stock changes, turning variants on/off, or setting a SKU across one or many listings in ONE approval — all variants, or those matching where (e.g. "2XL", "Red"). quantity sets stock (0 = mark sold out), quantityChange adds or subtracts. Prices are not touched (use propose_price_update). Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Find listings and exact option names with get_shop_inventory (if available) first.

propose_listing_attributes

ChatGPT
Prepare setting category attributes (e.g. primary colour, occasion, material, size) on up to 10 listings in the same category, in one approval. Attributes help buyers find listings through Etsy filters. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Get property and value IDs from get_category_attributes (if available) first.

propose_listing_images

ChatGPT
Prepare adding, removing or reordering photos, or editing their alt text, on one listing in one approval. Removed photos can’t be restored automatically. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Add photos from: in ChatGPT, an image the owner attached OR one you created in this chat, passed as the file object in file (one) or files (several), never as a sandbox:/mnt/data path; a local file in apps that can read the owner’s computer (local_file, base64); or a public https image link (image_url). Up to 10 new photos per request, 20 per listing. rank 1 = main photo. Call get_listing_images (if available) first for photo IDs. Write alt text that plainly describes only what is visible in the photo (≤500 characters), without mentioning AI or that it is a test.

propose_listing_personalization

ChatGPT
Prepare setting the personalization questions buyers answer at checkout (up to 5: typed text or file uploads such as photos), or turning personalization off. Replaces the listing’s current questions, which the preview shows. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Write short, clear questions with an example in the instructions.

propose_listing_translation

ChatGPT
Prepare saving a translated title, description and tags for one listing in one language (de, en, es, fr, it, ja, nl, pl, pt), shown to buyers browsing Etsy in that language. Creates or replaces that language’s translation; nothing changes until the shop owner approves the preview card. Translate faithfully; keep tags ≤20 characters, max 13.

propose_listing_update

ChatGPT
Prepare changes to a listing’s title, description, tags, materials, category, shipping profile, return policy, shop section, who/when made, production partners, item size or auto-renew. Does NOT change Etsy: the shop owner approves it first. IDs come from get_shop; categories from search_categories (if available).

propose_listing_variations

ChatGPT
Prepare adding variations to a listing, or replacing its current ones: up to 2 (e.g. Size × Colour, max 400 combinations), a base price and stock, prices per option (e.g. 2XL +$2 via optionPrices), and exceptions per combination (combos: price, stock, SKU or off). Replacing overwrites the current variants, which the preview shows. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. For a NEW listing, pass variations to propose_draft_listing instead. To change prices or stock of existing variants, use propose_price_update / propose_inventory_update (if available).

propose_listing_video

ChatGPT
Prepare adding, replacing or removing the video on one listing (Etsy allows one video, 5–15 seconds; this request takes up to 20 MB). Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Pass a public https link to an MP4/MOV file (video_url), in ChatGPT the attached video as file, or in apps that can read the owner’s files local_file (base64). A new video replaces the current one.

propose_mark_shipped

ChatGPT
Prepare marking up to 25 paid orders from the owner’s own Etsy shop as shipped, with tracking number and carrier when available, in ONE approval. Only use it when the owner asks. After the owner approves the preview card, Etsy records the shipment and emails each buyer; this can’t be undone. Find orders with list_orders (to_ship: true) if it is in your tool list. Ask the owner for the tracking numbers AND the carrier (never invent either). Tracking that looks like a placeholder (contains test/sample, repeated digits, or under 8 characters) is refused unless the owner explicitly confirms that exact number; then send unusualTrackingConfirmed: true and the card flags it.

propose_price_update

ChatGPT
Prepare a price change across the variants of one or several listings in ONE approval — all variants, or only those matching a variation value (e.g. “2XL”). Modes: set an exact price, adjust by percent, or adjust by amount.

propose_processing_profile_changes

ChatGPT
Prepare creating, updating or deleting processing profiles (ready to ship or made to order, 1–10 days or weeks), in ONE approval. Updated times change ship-by dates for every listing and variant using them once the owner approves the preview card. IDs from get_processing_profiles (if available).

propose_publish_listing

ChatGPT
Prepare publishing one draft listing (a listing that was never live) in the owner’s own Etsy shop. After the shop owner approves it, the listing becomes publicly visible and available for buyers to purchase on Etsy, and Etsy charges the seller its listing fee ($0.20 USD) on the seller’s Etsy bill. Only use it when the owner asks to publish. Nothing is published until the owner approves (automatic approval for publishing is off by default and only the owner can turn it on). The owner can take it off sale again with propose_deactivate_listing. For listings that were live before and are now inactive or expired, use propose_reactivate_listing (if available).

propose_reactivate_listing

ChatGPT
Put inactive or expired listings from the owner’s own Etsy shop back on sale, in ONE approval (up to 10 per request). After the shop owner approves, the listings become publicly visible and purchasable on Etsy again; expired listings are renewed and Etsy charges the seller $0.20 USD each on the seller’s Etsy bill (the preview shows this fee). Only use it when the owner asks to reactivate or renew. Nothing changes until the owner approves (automatic approval for publishing and reactivation is off by default and only the owner can turn it on). The owner can take them off sale again with propose_deactivate_listing. Not for drafts (use propose_publish_listing, if available) or sold-out listings (add stock instead).

propose_return_policy_changes

ChatGPT
Prepare creating, updating or deleting return policies (accepts returns, accepts exchanges, deadline 7–90 days), or consolidating one policy into another (moves its listings, then deletes it), in ONE approval. Buyers see new terms on every listing that uses the policy once the owner approves the preview card. IDs from get_return_policies (if available).

propose_revert_action

ChatGPT
Undo a finished change, with a new approval. Listing edits: restores the saved before-values. Price changes: restores every variant to its exact earlier price (for changes made after exact price backups were introduced). Deactivation: reactivates the listings (needs publishing permission; Etsy fee warning shown). Publishing and new drafts cannot be reverted — the tool explains the right alternative. Never overwrites newer changes. For changes that touched more than 10 listings, pass up to 10 listingIds at a time.

propose_shipping_profile_changes

ChatGPT
Prepare changes to the shop’s shipping profiles in ONE approval: create profiles, rename or change origin/processing time, add/update/remove destinations (country or EU / non-EU region, cost and each-additional-item cost, delivery estimate), add/update/remove shipping upgrades, or delete profiles. Prices apply to every listing using the profile once the owner approves the before → after preview; nothing changes before that. Get IDs from get_shipping_profiles and carriers from get_shipping_carriers (if available). Ask the owner for prices; never invent them.

propose_shop_update

ChatGPT
Change shop-level settings on the owner’s public Etsy shop in ONE approval: shop title, announcement, the message buyers get after a purchase (and after a digital purchase), and shop sections (add, rename, remove). New text overwrites the current text, and an empty string clears it. Removing a section deletes that section (its listings stay in the shop, without a section) and cannot be undone automatically. Nothing changes until the shop owner reviews the before → after preview and approves it. Get section IDs from get_shop. To move a listing into a section use propose_listing_update with shopSectionId. Applied text changes can be restored with propose_revert_action; section changes cannot.

propose_variation_images

ChatGPT
Prepare which listing photo each option of one variation shows (e.g. the red photo for Colour: Red). Replaces the listing’s current set; nothing changes until the shop owner approves the preview card. Get option IDs from get_variation_images and photo IDs from get_listing_images (if available).

propose_variation_rename

ChatGPT
Prepare renaming variation options (e.g. sizes “S” → “Small”, or “Heather Grey” → “Sport Grey”) across one or several listings in ONE approval. Only the option names change; prices, stock, SKUs and enabled variants are kept. Nothing changes on Etsy until the shop owner approves the preview card. Use get_listing_inventory first for the exact current names. Pass variation (e.g. “Size”) to limit renames to one variation. Set partial: true to replace text inside option names (e.g. “T-Shirt” → “Tee” in “Gildan 5000 T-Shirt - S”).

report_issue

ChatGPT
Send a bug report, feature request or question to the ConnectMyShop support team on the owner’s behalf (it is saved to the owner’s ConnectMyShop account and emailed to the team; nothing changes on Etsy). Offer it when a ConnectMyShop tool or approved change fails in a way the owner can’t fix, when the owner asks for something ConnectMyShop can’t do yet, or when they want to give feedback. Ask the owner before sending, and include what they were trying to do and any error text. Never include buyer names, addresses or other customer data.

research_keyword

ChatGPT
For a search phrase: how many active listings compete, the tags and title words the top 100 listings use most, their price range, and how many offer personalization or variations. Pass compareListingId to see which popular tags one of the owner’s listings is missing. Then propose tag/title edits with the edit tools.

research_products

ChatGPT
Top Etsy listings for a search phrase, ranked by favourites and views, with price, tags and each shop’s lifetime sales, plus the price range of the top 100 results. Use for product and competitor research.

search_categories

ChatGPT
Find the right Etsy category (taxonomy ID) for a product, e.g. "graphic t-shirt" or "phone case". Use before creating a draft or changing a category.

search_shops

ChatGPT
Find Etsy shops by name, or the shops selling a product (e.g. "gold rings"), with lifetime sales, rating, reviews, favourites and listing count from Etsy. Read-only market research; nothing is stored.
