Overview

Connect ChatGPT to Encore's cloud platform to inspect your applications, environments, deployments, infrastructure, and observability data. Diagnose production issues in your AWS/GCP environments using traces and metrics, inspect databases, review deployment status and build logs, and understand your API surface. Use ChatGPT scheduled tasks to set up ongoing monitoring or to give you daily updates on how your application is performing.

Tools

api_describe

ChatGPT
Retrieve the API schema for services deployed in an environment. Returns service names, endpoints with HTTP methods, paths, access types, and optionally request/response schemas. Use names to filter by specific services or endpoints (e.g. 'myservice' or 'myservice.MyEndpoint').

app_list

ChatGPT
List Encore applications accessible to the current user. Optionally filter by app slug. Returns app names and creation dates.

build_list

ChatGPT
List recent builds for an application. Returns build slug, commit, status, conclusion, and timing information. Supports pagination and status filtering.

build_logs

ChatGPT
Fetch build logs for a specific build by its slug. Returns the full build log output.

cron_list

ChatGPT
List all cron jobs configured for an environment, including their schedules and target endpoints.

db_query

ChatGPT
Execute a read-only SQL query against a database in an environment. Returns columns, rows, and row count. Results are limited to 1000 rows.

db_schema

ChatGPT
Inspect the schema of a database in an environment. Returns all tables with column definitions (name, type, nullability, defaults) and indexes (name, uniqueness, columns).

env_list

ChatGPT
List environments for an Encore application. Returns each environment's cloud provider, type (production, staging, etc.), and latest deploy information including commit hash and timestamp.

infra_list

ChatGPT
Retrieve the infrastructure resource graph for an environment. Returns SQL servers and databases, compute clusters, Redis clusters and keyspaces, cloud storage buckets, pub/sub topics with subscriptions, and cron jobs.

metrics_query

ChatGPT
Query request metrics for endpoints. When service and endpoint are specified, returns detailed metrics for that endpoint including latency percentiles and throughput over time. When omitted, returns aggregated stats broken down by endpoint. Defaults to the last 24 hours.

rollout_get

ChatGPT
Get detailed information about a specific rollout by ID. Returns status, commit, environment, and detailed build/infra/deploy stage progress with timing.

rollout_list

ChatGPT
List recent rollouts for an application, grouped by environment. Returns status, conclusion, commit, type, and timing for each rollout. Optionally filter by environment.

rollout_logs

ChatGPT
Fetch logs from a rollout's phases (provision, deploy, cleanup). Optionally filter by phase. Returns log output for each requested phase.

secret_list

ChatGPT
List secret groups defined for an application. Optionally filter by environment. Returns group IDs, selectors, descriptions, and last update timestamps. Does not return secret values.

source_diff

ChatGPT
Show the diff between two commits in the repository. Returns either a unified diff or just the list of changed file names.

source_log

ChatGPT
List commits in the repository, starting from a given commit or HEAD. Follows first-parent history.

source_ls

ChatGPT
List files and directories in the repository at the latest deployed commit. Supports recursive listing and relative path navigation within the source tree.

source_read

ChatGPT
Read source file contents from the repository at the latest deployed commit. Supports reading multiple files in one request with optional line ranges.

trace_details

ChatGPT
Fetch detailed trace events for a specific trace ID. Returns the full list of trace events including spans, logs, and metadata for debugging request flows.

trace_list

ChatGPT
Search and list traces for an environment. Supports filtering by service, endpoint, topic, duration range, time range, error status, user ID, and request ID. Returns span summaries.
