Overview

Expandeo.com is a price comparison service for e-shops in 22 countries in Europe and in the United States. With this connector, Claude searches the Expandeo catalog and helps you find the best price for a product. What you can do: - Search products by name, model, brand or barcode (EAN), with filters for price range, e-shop, brand, and size, color and gender for clothing and shoes. - See all current offers of a product sorted from the cheapest, including the price per kg, liter or piece. - Compare several products side by side. - Find similar or cheaper alternatives to a product. - Check the price history and whether the current price is a good deal. Prices come from e-shop product feeds and are usually updated daily, so the e-shop always confirms the final price, shipping and availability. Links lead to the offer in the e-shop through an Expandeo redirect. Results are sorted by price, never by payment from e-shops. The connector is read-only and needs no account. Compare 2 to 5 products side by side: price range, the lowest unit price (per kg, l or piece) when the pack size is known, number of shops, the cheapest offer with buy_url and a short description. Prices are in the local currency of the country.

get_price_history

Claude

Use this when the user asks whether the current price of a product is a good deal or a real discount. Returns how its lowest price across e-shops changed over time (one point per change), the lowest, highest and average price in the period, lowest_30d (the lowest price in the last 30 days) with current_vs_lowest_30d_pct, and price_rating like on the Expandeo product page: the current price compared with the average lowest daily price in the last 30 days before the price changed to the current one - extreme_discount (25 % or more below), discount (5 % or more below), stagnation, increase (5 % or more above) or extreme_increase (25 % or more above), the difference is in price_rating_pct. Prices are in the local currency of the country.

Get one product with all current e-shop offers sorted from the lowest price (one offer per shop): price, pack size and unit price (per kg, l or piece) when known, sizes and colors, condition when the offer is not new (refurbished, used, open_box) and buy_url (direct link to the offer in the e-shop). Also returns the product description and expandeo_url (the product page on Expandeo with all offers). Prices are in the local currency of the country.

get_similar_products

Claude

Use this when the user wants alternatives to a product: similar products at a similar price, e.g. a cheaper alternative or a replacement for a product that is not available. Finds products sharing words with the title of the product, by default priced from 50 % of its lowest to 150 % of its highest price - min_price and max_price change the range, price_range in the result shows the one used. Each result has its price range, a short description, number of shops, expandeo_url and the cheapest offer including buy_url. Prices are in the local currency of the country.

search_products

Claude

Use this when the user is looking for a product to buy, wants to compare its prices or see which e-shops sell it in the selected country, and again when they narrow down the results (e.g. to a storage size or color). Searches the Expandeo price comparison catalog. Each result is one product offered by one or more e-shops, with its price range, a short description, the lowest unit price (per kg, l or piece) when the pack size is known, number of shops, expandeo_url (the product page on Expandeo) and the cheapest offer including buy_url (direct link to the offer in the e-shop). Prices are in the local currency of the country.
