Overview
Flat is an online music notation editor for writing and reading sheet music. This plugin lets users work with the scores in their own Flat account from ChatGPT. They can turn notation ChatGPT writes or converts (MusicXML, MIDI, ABC, MuseScore, Guitar Pro) into a new score and open it in Flat's editor, search their scores and collections by title, composer or instrumentation, read a score's details (title, composer, instruments, duration, measures), and export a score's notation as MusicXML or MIDI for analysis, arrangement or transposition. New scores are created private or link-only; publishing stays a decision the user makes in Flat.

ChatGPTGet the notation of a score. MusicXML (
musicxml, the default) and compressed MusicXML (mxl) are always returned inline, mxl base64-encoded; midi returns a short-lived download URL by default, or inline with inline: true. If a MusicXML export comes back too large, retry with mxl, which is the same notation compressed. For title, instrumentation and other descriptive fields, use score_get instead.score_get
