Overview

Bring an image from your conversation to a T-shirt or another available Inkdrop product. If you do not have artwork yet, create or attach a design in ChatGPT first. Once the image is ready, send “Choose my Inkdrop product” to open the picker. Browse a horizontal product list, read details, enlarge photos, and choose available colors, sizes and print options. Apply your artwork and review the finished mockup in the conversation. Change the product or scale, recover saved choices after a reload, and open the real product preview on Inkdrop. To rework artwork, edit the standalone image in ChatGPT and explicitly continue with the finished image; review it before applying. When ready to buy, open Inkdrop’s website to review your product, shipping, taxes and payment. Opening checkout does not place an order. US availability and prices vary. An Inkdrop account is required to save artwork and create previews. Artwork and mockup images are unlisted, but anyone with their image link can view them.

Tools

apply_design

ChatGPT
Use this when the user requests a real Inkdrop mockup and the intended artwork, reviewed exact product options and image-link sharing agreement are available. Apply the already intended artwork to the retained product selection through this MCP tool; do not generate a new artwork image or illustrative product image. A mockup request made before product selection remains active while options are chosen. The disclosed Apply my artwork action or an equivalent chat request provides mockup intent; ordinary browsing or option changes do not. Creates an unlisted product preview without AI-generation charges, waits briefly for the same operation and returns READY, PENDING, FAILED or UNAVAILABLE. For an artwork edit, the user must explicitly continue with the finished edited image before it is imported or applied; use that successful new import's NEW artworkId. Old artwork/source-preview references identify the original, not the edited result. Retain product, variant, print side and scale; selection.productId maps to catalogProductId. A card-supplied edit has a reserved workflowId and workflowRevision: use that exact pair through import, apply and retries. A new direct-chat edit without a card reservation first calls prepare_artwork_edit, then uses its returned workflow pair through import, apply and retries. Do not invent a new revision on a guarded workflow. Keep creation inputs unchanged on retries. get_operation reads the same operation when PENDING; it does not start another render. The initiating card shows only its reserved revision. For a later artwork edit initiated directly in chat without a new card reservation, call get_preview once after READY with the new preview ID to display that result. An existing workflowId alone does not establish a waiting card. Missing or failed artwork edits are not ready to apply. Honor changed or canceled intent and revoked sharing agreement. This tool does not publish a product or place an order.

browse_products

ChatGPT
Read-only in-card catalog search, filters, sorting and pagination. This tool never opens another card or requests a mockup.

cancel_artwork_edit

ChatGPT
Use when the user cancels an artwork edit or revokes its media-sharing agreement. Retires only the exact active owner-bound workflowId and workflowRevision; a repeated cancellation is safe and never cancels a newer request. Future requests for this edit cannot create new work. Does not delete artwork, import, generate, or start a mockup. An apply request already in progress may still finish, even if rendering has not started; follow its returned operationId or the same workflow pair read-only if needed. Never recreate work after cancellation. Card and direct-chat edits use the same cancellation tool.

get_account

ChatGPT
Use this when the user explicitly asks whether Inkdrop is connected, which permissions were granted, or requests help troubleshooting an Inkdrop sign-in/connection problem. Returns connection status, granted permissions and generation availability, with no credentials. Do not use as a preliminary account check for requests to buy AI image-generation credits, tokens, wallet top-ups, digital content or subscriptions: this connector does not sell them, regardless of connection status or generation availability. Explain that limitation directly without an account lookup. Also do not use for requests solely about another merchant's order, or standalone image-only edits with no requested Inkdrop product and no active Inkdrop workflow. Selecting the plugin alone is not a connection-status request. This tool does not retrieve credit balances or purchase eligibility.

get_artwork_for_edit

ChatGPT
Use this when the owned preview's standalone source artwork needs identification for a requested edit. This read does not request image generation or import/apply. Default to an assisted edit in the original image viewer or a finished image attachment, then wait for the user to explicitly continue with the finished edit. Only use the returned image as a native editor input when the user explicitly requests a direct native edit and the host supports it; never use a screenshot, product card or shirt mockup. A successful source read identifies the exact original artwork but does not guarantee a native-editable image reference. If the native editor cannot use the returned tool image, use an original standalone uploaded or generated image already in this conversation only when it clearly matches that loaded source. If that matching original is missing, ambiguous or unavailable to the native editor, ask the user to attach that exact source image. Keep the pending workflowId, workflowRevision, edit brief and product options unchanged while waiting for the attachment; do not reserve another request. Never invent a native image or file ID. Returns no product widget and never generates, imports, applies, or orders anything. After a successful native edit and the user explicitly continues with that finished image, import the NEW edited image and apply it with the retained exact product options and reserved workflow revision. If source loading or editing fails, report the failure and keep the pending request and existing preview unchanged; do not apply an old image or a product screenshot.

get_design_status

ChatGPT
Check an existing Inkdrop generation run. For new connector creations, use get_operation with the operation ID.

get_mockup_status

ChatGPT
Read this connected user's exact widget workflow request and its real mockup. An active request waiting for artwork stays WAITING; canceled or missing guarded-edit reservations fail with a recovery action. This tool never starts a creation, imports artwork, or finds another preview.

get_operation

ChatGPT
Automatically follow the existing operation after apply_design until resultState is READY or FAILED. This read-only tool waits briefly and returns a compact result, never starts another creation or charges. If still PENDING, call it again; do not say Done or claim the artwork is applied before READY with an actual mockup image. On UNAVAILABLE, explain the recovery action and check the same operation. Show the real mockup and preview link when READY.

get_preview

ChatGPT
Open a preview by its stable ID. Public previews work anonymously; private previews require an inkdrop:read grant from their owner. Use for an explicit reopen request or once after READY for a direct creation or a later artwork edit initiated directly in chat without a new card reservation. A card follows only the exact workflow revision it reserved. An existing workflowId alone does not mean a card watches a later revision. Use the new completed preview ID for direct-chat edits; the old card remains the earlier version. Do not call this after each status check or duplicate a result already watched by its initiating card.

get_product

ChatGPT
Use after the user chooses an Inkdrop product to verify its full available variants, colors, sizes and print sides before applying existing artwork. Keep the user's chosen product and exact options through import_artwork and apply_design; do not reopen the catalog or generate another image. Reading details alone does not select, apply, or order it. Use returned IDs only, and ask about missing or unavailable options.

get_studio_state

ChatGPT
Read only this signed-in user's saved choices for the exact studioId. Unknown and expired cards return state=null. Revalidate product options and preview access before returning references. Following a saved request uses get_mockup_status; this read never imports, renders or restores consent.

import_artwork

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants to save their selected conversation artwork to Inkdrop or use it in a requested product preview. Reuse the intended standalone image, including an already suitable transparent PNG; do not generate or redraw another image for this step. Imports the supplied image into the connected Inkdrop account and returns an artworkId for apply_design. Requires a usable host-provided image reference, an authorized image URL or uploaded image bytes, plus agreement to image-link sharing. Images are accessible to anyone with their link; previews remain outside the public feed unless published. Optional selection, region and revision preserve the user's chosen product options. For artwork edits, wait for the user to explicitly continue with the finished edited image, then import that successful standalone edit; the previous source image does not contain the requested edit. Send the paired workflowId and workflowRevision and exact selection supplied by the card or prepare_artwork_edit; the import is bound to that reserved edit. A new direct-chat edit first uses prepare_artwork_edit. This tool does not generate artwork, render a mockup, publish a product or place an order. Unused imports expire after 14 days.

list_my_previews

ChatGPT
Retrieve the connected user's recent private and public previews. No other user's private records are accessible.

list_products

ChatGPT
Use this for an Inkdrop product request or catalog browse only when the user has not already chosen a product. Return products in chat text by default, with relevant filters and limit 12. Show the returned names and prices, then ask for the user's exact product and options. Once chosen, keep that product for the ongoing artwork-to-preview request; use get_product to verify its full options instead of listing again. Do not generate another image while choosing a product. Do not call again to confirm or refresh a successful result. Newly generated artwork alone does not trigger this tool: wait for the user's product-selection follow-up. An explicit catalog-only request can browse without artwork. A product request with ready artwork can list products directly. An image-only request without Inkdrop product intent does not trigger this tool. This tool does not open a visual card. Use open_product_picker only when the user explicitly requests a visual picker, catalog card or product images. If no products match, ask the user to change filters instead of retrying automatically. Use get_product to check full options before applying. Never invent a product or variant, silently substitute an unavailable option, or treat a default variant as the user's choice. Selection is not a mockup request or media-sharing consent. Before importing artwork or applying a design, obtain the exact reviewed product options, an explicit mockup request and agreement to image-link sharing. Catalog photos are not artwork.

open_product_picker

ChatGPT
Open the visual Inkdrop product picker only when the user explicitly requests a picker, visual catalog or product card. Use the same filters as list_products, limit 12, and call once. A successful tool result does not prove the host displayed the card. If the card fails, use the returned text product list and wait for the user's choice; do not automatically open another card. Browsing and choosing do not request a mockup or consent to image-link sharing.

prepare_artwork_edit

ChatGPT
Use only for an explicit artwork-edit request made directly in chat when there is no fresh product-card edit reservation. Creates a private 24-hour reservation for that request's owned source preview, exact user-selected product options and edit brief. It does not edit, import, render, or order anything. Default to an assisted edit in the original image viewer or a finished image attachment. Wait for the user to explicitly continue with the finished edited image before importing or applying it. Supply a new requestKey (a UUID is recommended) for each new user edit; keep it and all inputs unchanged on retries. Use the returned workflowId and workflowRevision unchanged through import_artwork and apply_design. Use get_artwork_for_edit when the standalone source needs identification; a source read is not an image-generation request. Only attempt a direct native edit when explicitly requested by the user and supported by the host; import only the successful NEW edited image after explicit continuation. Card-initiated edits already include a reserved pair: reuse it instead of calling this tool. If preparation fails, keep the existing preview and follow the returned recovery action.

save_studio_state

ChatGPT
Save this signed-in user's exact product-card references and optional artwork-edit brief for recovery for 24 hours. An edit atomically reserves its workflow and options; changing or clearing the active request supersedes it. Send a newer revision for a changed state, or the identical state at the same revision for a retry. This never imports artwork, creates a mockup, restores consent or places an order.

search_previews

ChatGPT
Search published Inkdrop previews by name, prompt or creator. Returns stable preview IDs for get_preview.
