Overview

Just Travel brings its AI travel agent's search tools into ChatGPT. Tell ChatGPT where and when you want to go, and Just Travel finds live flight and hotel options from its partner travel providers, looks up room options and hotel details, and finds places to eat and things to do at your destination. When the plan comes together, Just Travel checks the day-by-day itinerary ChatGPT drafts, puts the days in order, and, when you ask, saves the trip to your Just Travel account. The saved trip opens on justtravel.io with every day and place on its timeline, and you can reopen it in a later conversation. What you can do: - Search flights by route, dates, cabin and number of travelers - Narrow flights by number of stops, layover length, connection city or airline - Find the right neighborhood first, then compare hotels there by stars and guest rating - Narrow stays to apartments or hotels, by amenities, meal plan, accessibility and nightly price, or by what guests say in reviews, such as comfy beds - Check room options and hotel details before you choose - Find restaurants, attractions and neighborhoods by name or near a location - Turn a drafted plan into a clean, ordered itinerary - Save trips to your Just Travel account, open them on justtravel.io, and reopen them in ChatGPT later Just Travel does not book inside ChatGPT: each result links to the provider's site, where you complete the booking. Connecting requires a Just Travel account. You sign in and approve access on justtravel.io, and you can disconnect at any time from your Just Travel settings.

Tools

create_itinerary

ChatGPT
Call this whenever you present a day-by-day itinerary. It checks the plan you composed, orders and numbers the days, and holds it so it can be saved. Required: trip_name, destination, start_date, end_date and days, each day with a date and events that each have an event_type. If the user gave only a month, pick concrete dates and say so. Use place names and place_ids from find_places. Returns an itinerary_id. After showing the itinerary, ask whether the user wants changes, flight or hotel searches for these dates, or to save it to their Just Travel trips; call save_trip with the itinerary_id only when they ask to save. After any change, call this again for a new itinerary_id.

find_places

ChatGPT
Search Google Places and return grounded place IDs and provider location facts.

get_hotel_details

ChatGPT
Retrieve provider details for the exact provider and hotel ID returned by search.

get_hotel_rooms

ChatGPT
Check date-specific room availability for the exact provider hotel ID.

get_saved_trip

ChatGPT
Load a complete saved itinerary owned by the authenticated user.

save_trip

ChatGPT
Save an itinerary to the user's Just Travel trips when they ask to save it. Pass the itinerary_id from the latest create_itinerary call for that plan. If the plan has no itinerary_id yet, or the tool reports itinerary_not_found, call create_itinerary first and use the itinerary_id it returns. Saving the same itinerary_id again returns the trip already saved. The trip appears in the user's Just Travel trips with every day and place; share the returned trip_url so they can open it there.

search_flights

ChatGPT
Search current flight offers. Pass IATA codes for origin and destination when you know them; for a place you are unsure of, pass its name and Just Travel resolves the airport (check resolved_route). Put every constraint the user states into the filter inputs (stops, layover length, connection city via/avoid_via, airline, departure time, duration, bags) instead of filtering the results yourself: filters run over every offer found, not only the ones returned. Each offer's route_summary lists its stops, connection airports and layover minutes. If matched_count is 0, say nothing matched rather than showing other offers. Preserve returned provider IDs and cache handles for follow-up calls.

search_hotels

ChatGPT
Search hotels and homes for bounded dates and occupancy. Put every preference the user states into the filter inputs instead of filtering the results yourself: stay_type ('homes' for apartments, Airbnb or a whole place), amenities, meal_plan, accessibility, nightly price, min_stars, min_review_score, near_latitude/near_longitude (from find_places, for a landmark or neighborhood), and review_theme for qualities guests describe, such as 'comfy beds' or 'quiet rooms'. Filters run over every stay found, not only the ones returned. A review_theme match carries review_quote, a real guest quote to cite. If matched_count is 0, say nothing matched rather than showing other stays. Partial provider results are identified as partial.
