Overview

MAP Audio puts three of its tools in ChatGPT. Analyse a recording. Attach a file and the player shows its waveform and spectrogram, with sample peak, true peak, RMS and integrated LUFS measured in your browser. Drag across the waveform to loop a section. ChatGPT sees the measurements, where playback is and the section you picked, and it can mark sections on the timeline. In the ChatGPT desktop app, WAV, FLAC, MP3 and M4A files from the conversation open in the player too. Make beats with PAM. PAM is MAP Audio's eight-cell sampler and sequencer, and it runs in the conversation, in your browser. Ask for a style or a tempo and ChatGPT opens PAM with a matching preset. Press Play inside PAM to start the sound. With a PAM licence, ChatGPT can then change the tempo, start and stop playback, switch variations, load another preset or randomize the beat. Process audio with MFX. With an MFX licence, ChatGPT runs a recording through one of MFX's effect presets without opening MFX. You can compare the result with the original and download it. Limits: attachments can be up to 32 MiB, and MFX takes up to five minutes of audio. Stored copies expire after one hour. PAM in ChatGPT plays MAP Audio's presets and cannot save presets or export audio. Every tool needs a MAP Audio account. MAP Audio does not generate sound with AI.

Measures an attached WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3 (up to 32 MiB and 10 minutes) or an audioId with MAP Audio's own analysis engine and stores nothing. Returns tempo with the first downbeat, key with its Camelot code, integrated loudness, loudness range and true peak against streaming targets, tonal balance against a neutral master curve, stereo and mono compatibility, sections with their loudness, transient density, plain-language notes and PAM and MFX presets that fit. Measurements do not mean the recording was listened to. Not for identifying songs or artists, lyrics or genre. To show the recording with its waveform, use display_audio_file.

apply_mfx_preset

Process a recording through an MFX effect preset from list_mfx_presets, without opening MFX. Recordings up to 32 MiB and five minutes: about three minutes of 16-bit stereo WAV, longer as FLAC or MP3. Accepts an uploaded file or an audioId. The conversation shows the original and processed audio to compare, and the processed copy gets its own audioId for display_audio_file. Needs an MFX licence on the signed-in MAP Audio account.
