get_account_summary
ChatGPTSummarise the connected account: its plan and what that plan includes (platforms, storage, monthly watch time and features), and how many apps, videos, TV shows and open support tickets it has.
get_app_section
ChatGPTRead the current settings in one section of an app: general (name, description, genre, kids flag, published; the same on every platform), or, for one of the app's TV or website platforms (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV or the website), branding (colours, grid style, logo location), content (its menus and the rows on each) or monetization (the Enable Ads switch, pre-roll and mid-roll ads, pod sizes, ad duration limits, cue points, ad-free options, and the app-wide auto ad optimization). Settings of an app's iOS, Android mobile, Samsung or LG versions can't be read here yet.
get_audience_report
ChatGPTWho watched over the last N days up to today (default 30): viewers (people who opened an app), video viewers (people who played something), plays, watch time (readable text and exact seconds), average watch time per viewer and the busiest day — counted once per day on each platform — plus viewers counted once per calendar month. New versus returning viewers are included only where OTTEngine recorded them; otherwise the report says they are not recorded.
get_content_report
ChatGPTThe account's most-watched videos over the last N days up to today (default 30), most watched first: for the top N (default 10, max 50), watch time as text in the unit that fits it (seconds, minutes or hours) and as exact watch_time_seconds, and the number of viewers; plus the total watch time across all videos.
get_platform_report
ChatGPTWatch time, viewers and plays per platform, with totals, across the account's apps and streams over the last N days up to today (default 30, max 1100) — the figures the dashboard's Platform analytics shows. Watch time comes as text in the unit that fits it (seconds, minutes or hours) and as exact watch_time_seconds, for ranking and sums. Viewers are counted once per day on each platform.
get_streams_report
ChatGPTWatch time and viewers per live or linear stream over the last N days up to today (default 30), most watched first, for the top N streams (default 10, max 50): watch time as text in the unit that fits it and as exact watch_time_seconds, plus the total.
get_video
ChatGPTGet one video's details by its smart_id from list_videos, or by title (an exact match first, then a partial one): description, genres, tags, directors, actors, rating, kids flag, release date, status and type.
list_app_platforms
ChatGPTList the platforms one app is set up for (for example Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV or the website), given the app's smart_id from list_apps.
list_apps
ChatGPTList the account's apps with each app's smart_id, name and publish status. Use list_app_platforms to see which platforms an app is on.
list_my_tickets
ChatGPTList the account's support tickets with number, title, severity, status (Open, In Progress, Waiting, Resolved or Closed) and creation time: open ones by default, or closed or all (default 10, max 50).
list_videos
ChatGPTList videos in the account's library with each video's smart_id, title, status (published or draft), type and creation time. Filter by title text or status. Returns up to limit videos (default 25, max 100) and the total number that matched; most_recent=true sorts by creation time, newest first.
play_url
ChatGPTPlay an MP4 file or an HLS (.m3u8) stream from an https link the user pastes, in the chat's player. Only play content the user has the right to play: their own, or content whose owner allows it. It works for any signed-in OTTEngine account, with or without a plan. The video is fetched through OTTEngine's relay and streamed to the player as it plays, for up to 30 minutes a link and within a daily limit per account; DRM-protected streams, private or local addresses and links with a user name or password in them cannot be played, and the player says why. Call it once per link: each call starts a new session.
play_video
ChatGPTPlay one of the account's own videos in the chat, found by its title (an exact match first, then a partial one) or its smart_id from list_videos. Where the chat can show it, a player appears with the video's poster, and drafts play too; plays here are not counted in the account's analytics. A video that is still processing, a live stream, or one the apps play from another host is described instead of played, and a video rated for adults only is not played. The answer gives the video's title, duration, status and type; the player shows the rest, so there is no need to describe it.
preview_app
ChatGPTShow what one of the account's apps looks like on a platform (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Samsung, LG, iPhone, Android phone or the website): its menus, the rows on each menu and the first titles on every row, in the app's own colours and layout. Where the chat can show it, an interactive picture of the app appears, and the user can click through its menus and switch platforms. Call it directly with the app's name (or none, when the account has one app); list_apps is not needed first. Only platforms that are live on the account's plan can be previewed.
preview_youtube_channel
ChatGPTShow a public YouTube channel as an OTTEngine app on a TV (as on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV and Android TV), a phone (iPhone and Android) or the web: the channel's picture as the logo, its latest video featured, and rows of its latest videos and its playlists, with titles and thumbnails as YouTube has them. Where the chat can show it, an interactive picture appears, and the user can click through it and switch platforms. It is a mock-up, not affiliated with YouTube or the channel: say so, and link the channel. It works for any signed-in OTTEngine account, with or without a plan or videos. Each person can look up two new channels a day; other platforms for a channel they already looked up are free. Give it the channel's address (youtube.com/@name, /channel/UC..., /user/name), its @handle or its channel id.
search_kb
ChatGPTSearch OTTEngine's help documentation for how-to answers about using the platform (apps, videos, live streams, monetization, analytics). Returns up to 5 matching snippets with their titles and relevance scores.
show_video_library
ChatGPTShow the account's videos in the chat as a grid of posters with a play button on each: the user can play any of them in place, page through the rest, and expand the grid to full screen. Use it when the user wants to see, browse or watch their videos; use list_videos when they need each video's smart_id, type or creation time. Filter by title text or status (published or draft); most_recent=true sorts newest first. Returns one page of up to limit videos (default 12, max 48): each one's title, status and duration, how many matched in all, and next_offset when there are more. The grid shows the posters and plays the videos, so there is no need to list every title.
