Overview

Record Meeting records your Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other online meetings, transcribes them with speaker names and writes AI meeting notes. This connector gives Claude access to those recordings, so you can work with your meetings in a conversation. Ask what a team decided, who owns which action item, or what a customer asked for, and Claude finds the right recording and answers from its notes and transcript. With the connector, Claude can: - List and search your recordings, or find the meetings from a given day in your time zone - Read a recording's details, AI notes and participants - Read the speaker-labelled transcript, page by page - Rename a recording or replace its notes - Get the existing share link of a recording, or create a new one - Delete a recording you no longer need, after you confirm - Browse the organizations, folders and members of your team workspace The connector only reaches the recordings your Record Meeting account can open. You sign in to Record Meeting and approve access on a consent page that names the scopes Claude receives, and you can revoke that access at any time in Settings, Connected agents. Recordings are made with the Record Meeting Chrome extension, the Google Meet add-on or the web app; the connector does not start recordings.

Tools

delete_recording

ChatGPT
Use this only when the user explicitly asks to delete a recording. Permanently removes the video, transcript, notes and share links. Confirm the title with the user before calling.

get_recording

ChatGPT
Use this when the user asks about one specific recording: details, status, meeting notes, participants, whether it can be played, shared or transcribed. Returns a signed download link only when include_download_url is true. Use get_transcript for the spoken content.

get_recording_by_date

ChatGPT
Use this when the user refers to recordings by a calendar day or range ("yesterday", "last Tuesday", "this week"). Resolve relative dates to ISO dates first. Days are interpreted in the user's timezone.

get_transcript

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants what was said in a recording: quotes, who said what, a passage at a given time, or material to summarise. Returns speaker-labelled segments with timestamps. Page with segment_offset/next_offset or narrow with from_seconds/to_seconds; keep max_chars small when you only need a passage.

list_folders

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants the folders of an organization or you need a folder_id for list_recordings.

list_members

ChatGPT
Use this when the user asks who is in an organization or needs a member's user_id for filtering recordings. Emails are included only when the caller is an owner or admin of that organization.

list_organizations

ChatGPT
Use this when the user asks which organizations/teams they belong to, or you need an organization_id for list_recordings, list_folders or list_members.

list_recordings

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants to browse their recordings, filter by status, date range, folder, organization or (org admins) a member, or page through results. For keyword search use search_recordings; for "what did I record on <day>" use get_recording_by_date.

search_recordings

ChatGPT
Use this when the user gives a keyword or phrase to find recordings by title (fuzzy match). Does not search inside transcripts; for a date use get_recording_by_date, for browsing use list_recordings.

update_recording

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants to rename a recording or replace its meeting notes (markdown). Provide only the fields to change. This overwrites notes entirely; read them first with get_recording when editing.
