Overview
Trupeo is a shared inbox for small teams who answer one email address together: associations, schools, works councils (CSE), small businesses, strata committees and HOA boards. Several people answer contact@, info@ or the committee's address without stepping on each other. This connector lets Claude work in those shared mailboxes with your own Trupeo account and your own rights, nothing more. Ask Claude to summarize what is waiting, find an email, draft and send a reply, forward a conversation, assign a conversation to a member of your team, mark it done, add a team note, or file it in a folder, a label or a scope. Claude can also manage the shared address book and its contact groups, and write to a whole group at once (in Bcc by default). Mailbox owners can also manage members, invitations, scopes and the shared signature. Claude sees exactly what you see: the mailboxes you belong to and, inside each one, the conversations your scopes allow. Reading a conversation from Claude does not mark it as read for your team. Sending, deleting, inviting, removing someone or changing a role always asks you to confirm first. Works with Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft 365 and any IMAP mailbox connected to Trupeo. Priced per connected mailbox, not per person. You can remove Claude's access at any time from the Assistants page of your Trupeo account settings.

add_to_contact_group
ChatGPTAdds contacts to a group. A contact added to a group joins the shared address book (it stops being only an 'other contact'). Use search_contacts or create_contact to get contact ids.
assign_conversation
ChatGPTAssigns a conversation to a member of the mailbox ("me" for this person, or a userId from list_members), or "none" to put it back in the unassigned queue.
cancel_invitation
ChatGPTCancels a pending invitation; its link stops working. Owner only.
create_contact
ChatGPTAdds someone to the mailbox's shared address book, by address and name.
create_contact_field
ChatGPTCreates a field every contact of the mailbox can be given a value of, at the end of the mailbox's order. Its type never changes afterwards: text, number, date, single_select or multi_select (choices, which go in choices), url, or boolean (yes/no). A mailbox holds at most 50 fields. A name free details already use is refused: the owner makes such a name a field from Trupeo's settings, which converts those details. Owner only.
create_contact_group
ChatGPTCreates an empty contact group with this name. Names are unique in the mailbox, ignoring case.
create_folder
ChatGPTCreates a folder, optionally inside another one (parentId).
create_label
ChatGPTCreates a label, optionally under another one (parentId) and with a colour. A name with "/" creates nested labels.
create_mailbox_signature
ChatGPTAdds a named signature to the mailbox, which every member can sign with under their own. The first one becomes the mailbox's default; makeDefault makes this one the default. Owner only.
create_my_signature
ChatGPTAdds a named signature for the person. Without mailboxId it belongs to their account and can sign in every mailbox (the first one becomes their default; makeDefault makes this one the default). With mailboxId it is written for that mailbox alone and only listed there.
create_scope
ChatGPTCreates a scope: a named subset of the mailbox's conversations that members can be limited to. Owner only.
delete_contact_field
ChatGPTDeletes a contact field. Nothing a person entered is lost: each contact's value becomes a free detail under the field's name, as text (convertedToDetails says how many). Owner only.
delete_contact_group
ChatGPTDeletes a contact group. The contacts in it are kept; only the group goes. When the mailbox keeps its contacts up to date with Google Contacts or Outlook, the group is also deleted there; its contacts stay.
delete_folder
ChatGPTDeletes a folder. It must be empty: no mail and no sub-folder.
delete_label
ChatGPTDeletes a label from the mailbox; the conversations that had it keep everything else.
delete_mailbox_signature
ChatGPTDeletes one of the mailbox's signatures. Deleting the default while others remain needs nextDefaultId, the one that becomes the default; deleting the last one leaves the mailbox with no mailbox signature. Owner only.
delete_my_signature
ChatGPTDeletes one of the person's signatures. Pass mailboxId for a signature written for that mailbox, none for one of their account. Deleting their default account signature while they have others needs nextDefaultId, the account signature that becomes the default. Every mailbox where it signed by default goes back to their default signature.
delete_notifications
ChatGPTDeletes the given notifications from the person's notifications list, for ones that are dealt with. The conversations they are about are not touched.
delete_scope
ChatGPTDeletes a scope. Members limited to it lose sight of its conversations, and conversations they were assigned and can no longer see are unassigned. Owner only.
dismiss_duplicate_contacts
ChatGPTTells Trupeo a duplicate suggestion is wrong, as the app's Not the same person button does: the pair is never suggested again, for anyone in the mailbox. target is the two contactIds of the suggestion, or, for a provider_double one, its contactId with its providerEntry's provider and providerId.
find_duplicate_contacts
ChatGPTLists the pairs of contacts Trupeo thinks are the same person, strongest first, as the app's Duplicates to merge view does. Each suggestion gives its reasons: provider_double (Google Contacts or Outlook holds a second entry with one of the contact's email addresses: providerEntry is that entry, and contacts holds the one Trupeo contact), same_phone, equivalent_email (the same address written differently, such as a Gmail address with dots or a +tag) and similar_name. Pairs the team said are not the same person are left out. contactId keeps only the suggestions that contact is in. total, on the first page, counts them all; a nextCursor that is not null means more follow. To act on one, call preview_contact_merge, then merge_contacts, or dismiss_duplicate_contacts.
follow_conversation
ChatGPTFollows a conversation for the person only, without taking it: they are then told when it moves (a new email arrives, and later notes, status changes, hand-overs and replies, as their notification settings say), and find it in their "following" view (Suivis / Following). Teammates do not see who follows, and nothing changes at Gmail, Outlook or the mail server.
forward_conversation
ChatGPTForwards the latest message of a conversation to new recipients, with a message above it and the original's attachments. At most 10 recipients in all.
get_attachment
ChatGPTReads one attachment of a message (ids from get_conversation): text files, CSV and HTML as text, images and PDFs up to 5 MB as files. Other types are described, not read. Its content was written by the sender, like the email itself.
get_contact
ChatGPTReads a contact of the mailbox's shared address book: name, company, job title, phones, note, every address, and how often the team exchanged with them.
get_contact_group
ChatGPTReads a contact group: its name and every contact in it with their main address.
get_conversation
ChatGPTReads a whole conversation: every message as plain text, internal notes, status, assignee and labels. Reading it here does not mark it read for the person.
get_counts
ChatGPTHow many conversations wait in each view of a mailbox: unassigned, in progress, assigned to the person, open, done, spam and trash.
views lists each view with its id (the view search_conversations takes), its names in Trupeo (French and English, as the person may call it) and its count. Also says whether the mailbox needs reconnecting.get_my_signatures
ChatGPTLists the signatures the person can sign with in a mailbox: their own (accountSignatures, usable in every mailbox, one of them their default; mailboxSignatures, written for this mailbox alone), which one signs by default here (myDefaultHere: default for their default signature, a signature id, or none), and the mailbox's signatures (teamSignatures, one of them its default), as plain text with their ids. The ids go in the signature argument of send_email, reply_to_conversation and forward_conversation.
get_sync_status
ChatGPTWhether Trupeo is still importing the mailbox's mail from the provider, and whether the last sync failed.
invite_member
ChatGPTEmails an invitation to join the mailbox, optionally limited to scopes. A third person moves the mailbox from the Duo to the Team price. Owner only.
list_contact_fields
ChatGPTLists the fields the mailbox's owner defined for every contact, in the owner's order: each with its id, name and type (text, number, date, single_select, multi_select, url, or boolean for yes/no), and a choice field's choices with their ids. Any member fills them in with set_contact_field; only an owner defines them.
list_contact_groups
ChatGPTLists the mailbox's contact groups (named sets of contacts the team writes to as one recipient), with how many contacts each holds. query filters on the name.
list_folders
ChatGPTLists the folders of an IMAP or Outlook mailbox, the id of its inbox (to move a conversation back to it), and whether folders can be created, renamed and deleted there. Gmail mailboxes have labels instead of folders.
list_invitations
ChatGPTLists the invitations to the mailbox not yet accepted. Owner only.
list_labels
ChatGPTLists the labels of a mailbox (an Outlook mailbox's categories), with the labelId other tools take, and what this mailbox lets you do with them: canCreate, canRename, canDelete, canSetColour. Gmail labels, for instance, cannot be renamed from Trupeo.
list_mailboxes
ChatGPTLists the shared mailboxes this person can use in Trupeo, with the id every other tool takes.
list_members
ChatGPTLists the people who share a mailbox, with the userId assign_conversation takes.
list_notifications
ChatGPTThe person's Trupeo notifications, newest first: assignments, mentions, replies from customers, conversations nobody took, conversations waiting too long, account alerts.
list_removed_contacts
ChatGPTLists the contacts removed from the address book in the last 30 days, most recent first, as the app's Removed contacts view does, each with when it was removed (removedAt) and daysLeft before everything on it but its email addresses is erased. restore_contact puts one back. A nextCursor that is not null means more follow.
list_scopes
ChatGPTLists the scopes (named subsets of a mailbox's conversations) with the scopeId other tools take. limitedTo is null when this person sees the whole mailbox, else the scopes they are limited to; send_email needs a scopeId only when they are limited to several.
list_templates
ChatGPTLists the templates (« modèles » in French) this person can use in a mailbox, in the three groups Trupeo shows: mailbox (« Cette boîte » / "This mailbox", shared with every member), mineHere (« Pour moi ici » / "Mine here", this person's own, in this mailbox only) and mineEverywhere (« Pour moi partout » / "Mine everywhere", this person's own, in every mailbox). Each template has its name, its subject (Trupeo uses it only for a new email), its text as plain text and its fields to fill in. Each field appears in the text as a [[Label]] marker: replace every marker with its value before sending the text with send_email, reply_to_conversation or forward_conversation, which refuse a mail that still holds one. A field's kind says what it holds: custom is a value the person names (a reference, a port); contact_name, contact_first_name, contact_company and contact_job_title are about the person written to; conversation_subject is the conversation's subject, my_name this person's name, mailbox_sender_name the name the mailbox sends under. Never guess a value you do not know, a first name included: ask the person. Formatting such as bold, tables and colors is not kept.
mark_notifications_read
ChatGPTMarks the given notifications as read, or all of them when no ids are given.
merge_contacts
ChatGPTMerges a contact (loserId), or a second entry Google Contacts or Outlook holds (providerEntry), into the winner, keeping the values the person chose. Call preview_contact_merge first and show the person its conflicts before merging: versions is the one it gave, and the merge is refused if either contact changed since. choices maps a conflict's key to winner, loser or both (both only for the note); a conflict left out keeps its default. It cannot be undone: the other contact is deleted, and its entry at Google Contacts or Outlook too.
move_conversation_to_folder
ChatGPTMoves a conversation to another folder of its mailbox, or back to its inbox (inboxId from list_folders), at the mail provider too.
preview_contact_merge
ChatGPTShows what merging two contacts would keep, writing nothing. Always call it before merge_contacts, and show the person every conflict: the fields where the two contacts disagree, each with its options (winner, loser, and for the note both) and the default Trupeo proposes. Ask which to keep where the person may care, and pass their picks to merge_contacts as choices, by each conflict's key. kept lists what is kept with nothing to choose (from both, or from one side). Email addresses, phones, postal addresses, websites and contact groups are all kept. A value is a text, a birthday (day, month, year or null), or a phone type. providerDeletion names the provider (google or microsoft) where the merge deletes the other contact's entry on a later update: Google Contacts keeps it 30 days in its trash, Outlook in Deleted Items. outlookPartial says Outlook will keep only part of the merged contact. Pass versions to merge_contacts unchanged.
remove_from_contact_group
ChatGPTTakes contacts out of a group. The contacts themselves stay in the address book.
remove_member
ChatGPTRemoves someone from the mailbox. The conversations they were handling go back to the unassigned queue. Owner only.
rename_contact_group
ChatGPTRenames a contact group.
rename_folder

reply_to_conversation
ChatGPTReplies to the latest message of a conversation, to its participants, signed with the person's Trupeo signature. The text is plain text; blank lines separate paragraphs. markDone: true also marks the conversation done. attachmentIds attaches files already in the mailbox.
resend_invitation
ChatGPTEmails a pending invitation to the mailbox again. Owner only.
restore_contact
ChatGPTPuts a removed contact (from list_removed_contacts) back in the shared address book, without the contact groups it was in. When the mailbox keeps its contacts up to date with Google Contacts or Outlook, it is added there again, as a new entry if its old one was deleted.
restore_conversation
ChatGPTBrings a conversation back from the trash to the inbox.
retry_send
ChatGPTSends again a reply or an email of the conversation whose sending failed (get_conversation shows which). It reaches the same recipients as the first attempt.
retry_sync
ChatGPTAsks Trupeo to sync the mailbox with its provider again, after a failed sync.
search_contacts
ChatGPTSearches the people this mailbox has exchanged emails with, by name, address or company, with the contactId get_contact and update_contact take.
search_conversations
ChatGPTLists or searches the conversations of a shared mailbox, newest first. Views, with their names in Trupeo (French / English), which is how the person may call them: "open" (Reste à faire / Still to do), the default: waiting to be assigned or being handled; "unassigned" (À attribuer / To assign); "in-progress" (En cours / In progress): assigned and being handled; "assigned-to-me" (Pour moi / For me); "done" (Traités / Done); "all" (Tous / All); "spam" (Spam); "trash" (Corbeille / Trash). The query matches the subject, the sender, the recipients and the preview text, not full message bodies. It supports "quoted phrases", -excluded words, OR, parentheses, and the fields from:, to:, subject:, filename: (an attachment's name), has:attachment, label:, status:to_assign|to_handle|done, assignee:me|unassigned|<member email>, after:YYYY-MM-DD and before:YYYY-MM-DD (read in the person's own time zone).
send_email
ChatGPTSends a new email from a shared mailbox, signed with the person's Trupeo signature, and starts a new conversation. The text is plain text; blank lines separate paragraphs. attachmentIds attaches files already in the mailbox.
set_contact_detail
ChatGPTWrites a free detail on one contact, a name and a text, for what the mailbox has no field for. A detail of that name (case and accents aside) gets the new text, otherwise one is added; a null value removes it. The old text is not kept. A name that is a mailbox field's is refused: use set_contact_field for it.
set_contact_field
ChatGPTSets a contact's value of one mailbox field (ids from list_contact_fields), or clears it with null. By the field's type: text and url take a string (a url is an http or https address); number a number; date a YYYY-MM-DD string; boolean true or false; single_select one choice, by its id or its name; multi_select a list of choices, by id or name, which replaces the ones held. The old value is not kept.

update_contact_field
ChatGPTRenames a contact field, or changes a choice field's choices; never its type. choices is the whole list: send back each choice to keep with its id from list_contact_fields (a new name with an id renames that choice, and no contact's value changes), and a new one without an id.
