add_chapter
ChatGPTA new chapter at the end of a book.
build_cover
ChatGPTA print-ready paperback full wrap (Iris) from the writer's own art: the art as the front with the title and author set in type, a spine and back in the front's colours, the back copy set on the back with the barcode corner left clear. Ask the writer first whether the art is a picture only or an already finished front cover with its own title and author (an ebook cover is); for a finished front set art_has_words=true, and it is used as it is, with a clean back in its colours. back_copy: paragraphs separated by a blank line; wrap the strongest paragraph in and it is set large and bold as the headline. imprint: the publisher's name in small capitals at the foot of the back, only if the writer gives one. author_bio: a short "about the author" paragraph (two to four sentences, in the third person) set in italic under the copy; author_photo_upload_id: their photo from upload_link(kind="art"), shown small beside the bio. A writer under a pen name gives the pen name's bio, not their own. Before calling, ask the writer for the back cover: the book's description (back_copy) and their author biography. When the book's manuscript is on Tunmire (a book_id or job_id with its chapters) you may draft the description from it and show it to them for their yes; when it is not, the writer writes the description and you use their words. description_by: "writer" or "assistant", who wrote back_copy. blank_back=true only when the writer wants the back plain. Checked against KDP / IngramSpark rules. Send the art first with upload_link(kind="art"). Give the book_id (its latest formatting is used) or a Forge job_id, so the spine matches the interior. Returns a cover_id and links: a preview, the print PDF and an ebook cover.
calc_cover_specs
ChatGPTA paperback cover's measurements: spine width, full wrap and PDF page size, bleed, the text-safe inset, the barcode clear area, and whether spine text is allowed. Give a Forge job_id (its page count, trim, paper and retailer are used), a book_id (its latest finished job), or trim (like 6x9) and page_count.
create_book
ChatGPTA new, empty book with one chapter.
format_manuscript
ChatGPTLay out the book as a print-ready interior PDF and an EPUB (Forge), checked against KDP / IngramSpark rules before any file is given. Returns a job_id for get_job. template: blank keeps the book's own layout, "default" or the name of one of the writer's Forge templates. author: the name on the title page (a pen name is fine). paper: cream, white or groundwood. retailer: kdp or ingramspark.
get_chapter
ChatGPTOne chapter's text, as Markdown (italics kept).
get_job
ChatGPTA formatting job: its status, and when done the page count, the checks, and download links for the print PDF and the EPUB.
import_manuscript
ChatGPTA new book from a whole manuscript, split into chapters at its chapter headings. Pass the text, or for a .docx/.txt/.md file an upload_id from upload_link(kind="manuscript").
list_books
ChatGPTThe writer's books on Tunmire, with their ids.
list_chapters
ChatGPTA book's chapters: number, title, words, and how many saved versions each has.
list_jobs
ChatGPTA book's formatting jobs, newest first: job_id, trim, paper, page count and status.
review_finish
ChatGPTThe editorial letter, in the fields review_next asks for (priorities are {title, detail}). The answer has the editorial report as a Word file.
review_next
ChatGPTThe next chapter to read, with the editor's instructions filled in for it and the chapter's words; when every chapter is read, the instructions for the editorial letter.
review_save_chapter
ChatGPTOne chapter's notes, in the fields review_next asks for. Sending a chapter again replaces its notes.
review_start
ChatGPTApollo's editorial analysis and review of a whole book, read by YOU as Tunmire's editor: Tunmire gives the book's numbers, then one chapter at a time with the editor's instructions (review_next); you send each chapter's notes (review_save_chapter), then the editorial letter (review_finish), and Tunmire gives back the editorial report as a Word file. A report only: it never edits or rewrites the writer's words. A review already open for the book goes on where it stopped.
revise_cover
ChatGPTBuild a cover again with changes: any of title, author, back copy, trim, page count (or a newer Forge job_id), paper, retailer, new art, art_has_words (the art is a finished front with its own title), imprint, author_bio, or author_photo_upload_id ("" removes the photo). A new back_copy needs description_by ("writer" or "assistant"), under the same rule as build_cover: no manuscript on Tunmire, the writer's own words. What is not given stays.
save_chapter
ChatGPTReplace a chapter's text (Markdown or plain) with a new version. The earlier text stays as a version, and the first save keeps the original as version 0. Only save what the writer has agreed to.
upload_link
ChatGPTA one-time way to get a file into Tunmire: kind "manuscript" (.docx/.txt/.md), "art" (cover art or an author photo, .jpg/.png) or "check" (a .pdf/.epub/.jpg to check). The writer sees a box in the chat to choose or drop the file; it goes straight to Tunmire and they tell you it is sent (or it says so itself). Then use the upload_id. Do not ask them to attach the file to the chat instead.
validate_file
ChatGPTCheck a file the writer already has against KDP / IngramSpark rules. Send it first with upload_link(kind="check"). kind: interior_pdf, cover_pdf, epub or ebook_cover.
