Overview

Plan work sessions and run pomodoro timers right in the conversation. Ask for a 25/5 or 50/10 pomodoro timer for studying, a countdown timer for a talk or a workout set, or a work/rest interval timer, and Zovo Focus Timer shows a live countdown with a progress ring, the current phase, round dots, and Start, Pause, Skip, and Reset buttons. A soft chime marks the end of each focus block and break (it can be muted). The timer is calculated from a stored end time rather than by counting ticks, so it stays accurate when the tab is in the background or the device is busy. If the timer was running while you were away, it catches up to the right phase when you come back. Plan a study or work session: say "I have 3 hours to study until 5pm" or "plan pomodoros from 9:00 to 12:30 with a lunch break" and Zovo Focus Timer fits as many whole pomodoros as the window allows, skips your fixed breaks, and lists blocks with clock times, total focus minutes, and any spare time. If the standard 15-minute long break would cost you a block (3 hours fits 6 pomodoros with a 10-minute long break, but only 5 with a 15-minute one), it shortens the long break and tells you; set your own long break to keep it. Give a time zone as a city, an IANA name, or an abbreviation such as EST, and clock times stay correct across daylight-saving changes, including nights when the clocks go back and an hour repeats. Download an .ics calendar file to add each focus block to your calendar app, then start the live timer from the plan; if you start during the planned window it lines up with the clock. Good for studying, deep work, writing, exam revision, practice sessions, and interval training. Limitations: the timer runs while the conversation is open and cannot send phone notifications; sessions are limited to 24 hours; plans schedule whole focus blocks only; focus history is not saved between conversations.

plan_focus_session

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants pomodoros fitted into a time window: "I have 3 hours to study until 5pm", "plan pomodoros from 9:00 to 12:30 with a lunch break", "how many 50/10 blocks fit before my 3pm meeting". Fits the most whole focus blocks between the start and end time around fixed breaks (if the standard long break would cost a block, it shortens or drops it and says so, unless the user gave long-break settings) and returns clock times for every block, total focus minutes, spare time, an .ics calendar file with one event per focus block, and a live timer for the plan. Limits: one window of up to 24 hours; it does not read or change the user's calendar and does not build multi-day study plans (e.g. finals week).

show_focus_timer

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants a timer now: a pomodoro timer (25/5, 50/10, pomodoro timer for studying), a countdown timer ("10-minute timer"), or an interval timer (work/rest repeats, e.g. 45 s on, 15 s off). Returns the full phase plan (focus blocks, short and long breaks, totals) and shows a live timer with a progress ring, play, pause, skip and reset controls, and an optional chime. With a clock time for the first block and a time zone (IANA name such as Europe/Warsaw, a city, or an abbreviation such as EST), each phase also gets wall-clock times that stay correct across daylight-saving changes. Limits: up to 24 hours and 96 rounds; no phone notifications, alarms when the chat is closed, or music. Do not use for reminders about future appointments, questions about how long something takes (e.g. boiling an egg), or unit conversions.
