Overview
Diffio restores speech in audio and video recordings by reducing background noise. Use it to clean up recorded interviews, podcasts, voice notes and archival speech. Play restored speech in the widget and adjust how much background sound to keep. Read timestamped transcripts, ask ChatGPT for a summary, or find spoken passages by timestamp. Find and reopen recordings in your connected Diffio account; the same projects are available on the Diffio website. Supported formats, processing limits and downloads depend on your account permissions. Diffio does not generate voices or edit transcript text.

ChatGPTAuthorize transfer of a user-requested local audio/video file. Use the packaged upload-recording.mjs helper to describe and upload its bytes. transferUrl permits only this original upload; it cannot read restored media.
restore_again
ChatGPTUse when the user asks to restore an existing recording again, for example with Flash instead of Pro. Start a new restoration of the recording's original upload in the connected Diffio account and show the player; the new result becomes the recording's current one. This uses account minutes, or a free account's trial allowance, like the first run. Refused while the recording is still restoring. Use open_project, not this, to reopen or check a recording.
restore_files
ChatGPTRestore one or several user-attached audio/video recordings with the account's automatic model. Never start from an attachment alone.
save_widget_mix
ChatGPTSave the background balance selected in the widget without rerunning restoration.
set_background_balance
ChatGPTUse when the user asks to change how much background sound a restored recording keeps, for example "set the background to 30%". Save the balance from 0 (speech only) to 100 (the full original background) as the recording's mix, the same setting as the player's Background amount slider, and show the player. Original and restored files are unchanged and restoration is not rerun.
