cancel_meeting
ChatGPTCancels the Leapcast meeting the user named, by the room id from its meeting result. The meeting stays in history as cancelled; attendees can be emailed a cancellation. A live meeting must end first.
check_meeting_admission
ChatGPTChecks the connected user’s existing waiting-room request. Does not submit another join request. Stop checking once admitted or refused.
close_room_poll
ChatGPTClose the named poll to further votes using the connected user’s existing platform permission. Does not delete the poll or its results.
create_instant_meeting
ChatGPTCreates a genuinely unscheduled Leapcast room with a join link, without inventing dates. Does not join or open a live session; use join_meeting next, which enforces hosting billing and admission. Invitees receive invitations. Omitted settings use platform defaults.
create_meeting
ChatGPTSchedules a new Leapcast meeting in the active organization and returns its join link. Invitees receive an email invitation.
create_room_poll
ChatGPTCreate a poll for meeting participants, including external guests, as the connected user with platform poll-create permission. Creation has no platform idempotency key: after an uncertain outcome, list polls before trying again.
end_meeting_for_everyone
ChatGPTEnds the live session of a Leapcast meeting for everyone, as the host’s End button on the Leapcast website does. Participants are disconnected, the recording stops and the meeting’s notes and emails are produced. The meeting link stays valid for a new session. Only for a meeting the user explicitly asked to end.
export_meeting_transcript
ChatGPTExport a specific authorized transcript run in the platform’s redacted TXT format (the only supported export format). Includes platform timestamps, speaker labels and capture gaps. Returns at most 8000 Unicode code points; follow nextOffset and concatenate pages. Pages reflect the current authorized export, not a snapshot: restart after transcript changes. No artifact cache. Oversize upstream exports are rejected, not silently truncated.
get_meeting
ChatGPTDetails for one Leapcast meeting: schedule, host, description, whether it is live, the latest session, and the user’s invite status.
get_meeting_host_state
ChatGPTWhat the connected user may control in a live Leapcast meeting: the waiting room, who is in the room with their ids and roles, recording state and the platform’s current permissions for this user. Read this before any host action so targets are named by exact id; it never changes anything.
get_meeting_summary
ChatGPTAI summary of a Leapcast meeting: overview, key points, decisions and action items. Defaults to the latest session with a ready summary.
get_meeting_transcript
ChatGPTReads a Leapcast meeting transcript as timestamped speaker turns, in pages. Defaults to the latest ready transcript; use offset from nextOffset to continue.
get_room
ChatGPTConfiguration of a Leapcast meeting room the user can manage or attend: agenda, invitees and their roles, recurrence, transcript settings.
get_session_capture
ChatGPTRead the platform Notes capture policy for a specific meeting session: transcript retention and AI summary capture. This is not editable note text. Use the session’s provider sessionId from meeting results, not the local projection id.
invite_to_meeting
ChatGPTEmails invitations to a Leapcast meeting in the active organization. People already invited are skipped.
join_live_meeting
ChatGPTJoins or starts a Leapcast meeting as the connected user, including instant meetings with nobody present yet. Uses the same access and waiting-room rules as the Leapcast website. The user appears as a participant and their time counts like any other participant. The companion plays supported meetings in chat and waits for host admission when required. If a password is required, enter it only in the companion; never ask for it in chat.
join_live_meeting_with_password
ChatGPTApp-only password entry. Uses the same authorization, billing and password rate limits as the website. Never submit passwords in chat.
leave_meeting_waiting_room
ChatGPTWithdraws the connected user’s existing waiting-room request, using the same platform leave action.
list_meeting_invites
ChatGPTLists Leapcast meeting invitations the user has not answered yet.
list_organizations
ChatGPTReturns the connected user’s verified account identity (id, name, email), their Leapcast organizations and the active organization. Use this to resolve “me” or “my action items”; meeting organizers and speakers may be different people. If transcript speaker names are ambiguous, ask the user instead of guessing.
list_past_meetings
ChatGPTLists meetings the user attended or hosted, newest first, with ids of their transcripts. Use days to bound the window and cursor to page.
list_recordings
ChatGPTLists the user’s Leapcast meeting recordings across all their organizations (recordings are not organization-scoped), newest first, with playback links. Filter by meeting or by title text.
list_room_polls
ChatGPTList polls visible to the connected user in the meeting room. Requires write scope to open platform chat membership. Follow nextOffset until null; offsets reflect the current list, not a snapshot. Individual voter identities are not returned.
list_upcoming_meetings
ChatGPTLists the user’s scheduled Leapcast meetings from now up to a number of days ahead, in the active organization. Includes join links. Each page is sorted by next occurrence, earliest first; continuation pages resume from later rooms and are not globally chronological across pages.
moderate_participant_media
ChatGPTMutes the microphone or turns off the camera of named participants in a live Leapcast meeting, as the host controls on the Leapcast website do. They can turn it back on themselves. Use participantIds of people in the room and the sessionId from get_meeting_host_state.
play_recording
ChatGPTPlays the recording of a Leapcast meeting, optionally from a moment. Pass the at timestamp and transcriptId from a search_transcript, search_meetings or get_meeting_transcript result to start where that was said.
read_meeting_plan
ChatGPTRead the existing room workspace plan, including editable topic notes and the legacy agenda. A legacy room can have a null plan and a non-null agenda; this tool does not synthesize a plan. Existing platform room-read authorization applies. Returns the complete plan, with an explicit error instead of truncation if the projected result exceeds 1 MiB.
read_room_chat
ChatGPTRead authorized meeting room chat as the connected user. Requires write scope because opening chat may provision membership. Returns text only: attachments, rich-text link targets, metadata and flagged content are withheld; text is limited to 4000 characters per message. Follow nextCursor for older messages. Chat is room-wide, not session-specific.
refresh_live_meeting_capability
ChatGPTRevalidates the connected user’s existing meeting capability. Does not join again or grant publication rights from role labels.
remove_meeting_participant
ChatGPTRemoves one person from a live Leapcast meeting, as the host controls on the Leapcast website do. They are disconnected and cannot re-enter this session. Use the participantId of someone in the room from get_meeting_host_state; never guess it.
reschedule_meeting
ChatGPTMoves a one-off Leapcast meeting in the active organization to a new start and end time. Attendees are notified. Recurring meetings cannot be moved this way.
respond_to_invite
ChatGPTAccepts, tentatively accepts or declines a pending Leapcast meeting invitation (see list_meeting_invites for participantId), and may email the host about the response.
respond_to_waiting_participant
ChatGPTAdmits or denies one person in the waiting room of a live Leapcast meeting, exactly as the host controls on the Leapcast website do. Use the participantId and sessionId from get_meeting_host_state. A denied person may knock again.
search_meetings
ChatGPTSearches accessible meeting history in the active organization, newest sessions first. Default substring mode finds every case-insensitive phrase match, including older history; semantic mode returns ranked, permissioned transcript evidence (not exhaustive). Follow nextCursor even on empty pages. Keep query, mode and days unchanged when continuing. When failedRun is set, the returned cursor retries that run; pass skipFailedRun: true with that same cursor to deliberately skip only that run and continue older history.
search_transcript
ChatGPTFinds turns in a Leapcast meeting transcript that contain a phrase (case-insensitive substring match).
send_room_chat
ChatGPTSend a text message to meeting participants (including external guests) as the connected user. Platform viewer/chat-lock permissions apply. Supply a new time-ordered ULID requestId per intended message (also the platform message id); reuse the SAME requestId and text after an uncertain outcome to use existing platform deduplication. Never automatically retry with a new id.
set_meeting_role
ChatGPTGives a participant of a Leapcast meeting the co-host, presenter or viewer role, the same canonical roles the Leapcast website assigns. The host role cannot be given. Like the website, a changed role notifies that person by email and in-app notification, and someone not yet invited to the meeting receives an invitation. Use the userId of a room entry from get_meeting_host_state; participants without a userId have no account and no role.
start_meeting_recording
ChatGPTStarts recording the live session of a Leapcast meeting in the default gallery layout, as the host’s Record button on the Leapcast website does. Refuses when a recording is already running so no second file is produced. Everyone in the room is told they are being recorded.
stop_meeting_recording
ChatGPTStops the running recording of a live Leapcast meeting, as the host’s Stop button on the Leapcast website does. The file is finished and delivered like any other recording. Does nothing when no recording is running.
switch_organization
ChatGPTMakes one of the user’s Leapcast organizations the active one for all following tool calls on this connection. Use list_organizations to find ids.
update_meeting
ChatGPTPartially edits a room or recurring series. Omitted fields stay unchanged; agenda replaces the entire agenda. Null clears description/schedule/recurrence. Series schedule edits use platform timezone, DST and override reconciliation rules. Cancelled rooms are read-only; draft edits remain drafts; live note-taking changes are refused. Confirmed attendees may only edit a nonempty agenda; other edits require platform management permission. Never submit passwords here.
update_meeting_occurrence
ChatGPTMoves, cancels or restores one recurring date using its ORIGINAL series anchor, even after it moved. rescheduled requires start/end; active restores the series time; cancelled cancels only this date. This replaces the date override: omitted title inherits the series title and active/cancelled clear custom times. Other occurrence settings stay unchanged. Platform validates membership, authorization, draft/cancelled series and calendar revisions and notifies attendees.
update_meeting_plan
ChatGPTFully replace the room workspace plan and regenerate its agenda through the existing platform PUT. Include every section and topic to retain, with nullable ownerName and notes. Omitted topics and their notes are removed; empty arrays clear the plan. Maximum 50 sections and 100 total topics, notes 5000 characters per topic. Requires write scope and the platform’s creator, host/co-host, or manageAny permission. No automatic read, merge, version check, or concurrency guarantee; this replaces the plan present when the platform applies it. Session capture settings and saved transcripts are unaffected.
update_session_capture
ChatGPTHost/co-host control of transcript retention and AI summary capture for a live meeting session. Enabling summaries requires transcripts. Uses platform session linkage, live status and host authorization. Changes capture policy only, never edits saved note text or deletes existing artifacts.
vote_room_poll
ChatGPTVote as the connected user only. The platform validates poll/option/room linkage, poll status and vote permission. Repeating the same choice does not add duplicate votes; for single-choice polls this replaces your previous choice.
who_is_live
ChatGPTShows Leapcast meetings that are live right now or inside their scheduled window, with participant counts and join links.
