Overview

Connect your VoiceScribe library to ChatGPT to find recordings by title or date, search words spoken in saved transcripts, and turn past conversations into useful answers. Read timestamps and speaker labels, revisit saved summaries, and check your membership or daily transcription usage when you ask. Access is read-only: this app cannot edit or delete your VoiceScribe content. A VoiceScribe library connection is required. Search coverage and long transcripts may be paginated; unavailable summaries are reported rather than invented.

get_account_status

Use for questions about whether the connected account is a paid/VIP member, trial, subscription plan/status/expiry or today’s transcription limit/usage. Read-only, current server state. A ChatGPT connection does not imply VIP membership. Never infer billing from tasks or OAuth login. Does not reveal email, subscription ID or payment details.

get_summary

ChatGPT

Read an existing task summary, not generate one. Reports missing/generating/failed states. If unavailable, read the transcript to produce a new answer without writing anything.

get_task

ChatGPT

Read metadata/status for a task in the connected account. Works for pending and failed tasks as well as completed transcripts.

get_transcript

ChatGPT

Read a selected task’s saved transcript with timestamps and speakers. Find its ID using list/search tools. Follow every nextOffset until null before summarizing the whole document. Unsaved changes are not included.

list_tasks

ChatGPT

List the connected user’s tasks newest first, including pending and failed tasks. Optional date/status filters apply to each page; follow coverage.nextPage. Returns safe metadata and IDs, never media URLs.

search_tasks

ChatGPT

Find tasks by a literal name/filename query and/or creation-date/status filters. Only one page is scanned per call; empty matches do not mean no matches elsewhere. Use returned IDs to read content. Ask the user to disambiguate multiple matches.

search_transcripts

ChatGPT

Bounded literal substring search over a page of completed transcripts in this account (not semantic or indexed global search). Returns up to three matching segments per document with timestamps and task IDs. Follow coverage.nextPage and report errors/partial coverage; read matching transcripts for full context.
